The page that Lifehacker cites comes from 2004, and doesn't connect to any studies apart from the one which examined the advantages of the adjustable desk. It does not quote any studies of standing desks. Since that time, Dr. James Levine has been doing considerable focus on how harmful seated really is, almost a lethal activity.
