Unless of course you're positively giving CPR for an accident victim only at that moment, drop whatever you do watching this stunning, mind-coming time lapse video of the world during the night, taken by astronauts aboard the Worldwide Space Station:
Holy. Haleakala. Make certain that s set to HD making it full screen.
The recording, taken by astronauts and edited by Michael Knig, was from the high-resolution camera with low-light capabilities, therefore it can easily see faint causes of light. The footage was all obtained from August to October 2011.
I m so overcome through the beauty and coolness of the video I m unsure which part I love best! The metropolitan areas streaming by beneath the instantly identifiable outlines of familiar places such as the Great Ponds or even the boot of Italia the incredible flickering thunderstorms providing you with an awareness that you will find always 1000's of these storms all around the planet at anyone time the incredible three dimensional look at the eco-friendly and red-colored aurorae which you'll really see as towering structures dozens as well as 100s kilometers tall the heavens rising and setting and spinning within the horizon the reflection from the Moon on earth below following along our perspective at 2:50 in to the footage or even the thin glowing arc over the horizon: airglow, triggered by molecules within the upper atmosphere gradually giving off light because they release energy gathered throughout your day.
This is all fantastic.
There has been lots of beautiful time lapse videos of the world in the ISS most particularly, one from September but this sets a brand new standard. Not minimal which since it s so smooth the feeling of motion, the feeling of flying, is overpowering. However the sheer magnificence from the entire video is just incredible.
