Gowalla beats Foursquare to Home windows Phone 7

Please visit update at the end from the publish.

When it involves new mobile platforms, everybody keeps track of official application support. That's, people notice when large names bring their items to new mobile lines, because it signifies that there's been enough user demand to warrant the event costs needed to port their application.

So it was lengthy-held that the possible lack of the official Foursquare application for Home windows Phone 7 boded poorly, as surely Foursquare had the cash to construct the application, but merely didn t. Until May, when news arrived on the scene that the organization would finally be delivering the official application.

Then came Gowalla, Foursquare s classic rival, that has now stolen a number of Foursquare s thunder by beating these phones delivering the official application for Home windows Phone 7.At least, we suspect the timing of the release was a minimum of somewhat influenced by Foursquare announcement.

For the moment, there remains no real Foursquare application for Home windows Phone 7, now the organization still points customers to some third-party (if very capable) application known as fourth and Mayor, instead of a genuine, full, application.

When will the Foursquare application for Home windows Phone 7 emerge We're not sure, but for the moment, Gowalla is running the show. The very first review for that application arrived at five stars.

This is a shot from the application, just just in case this is your kind of factor:

Update:

Smart Microsoft watcher @manan stated to us that Foursquare really did launch a (feature light) application for WP7 once the line first showed. It had been later changed with fourth and Mayor, the 3rd-party application, since it am far better. We apologize for that confusion.
