Helmet Instantly Cools You Lower After Consuming Spicy Food

We ve all had the experience, stranded after chowing lower on the plate of tacos capped with tongue-scalding salsa with no glass water or milk around the corner. Fortunately the altLab in Lisbon finds a strategy to all humanity s spicy food-related problems: the Nuclear Taco Sensor Helmet Gameshow.

That s the title from the project they began after seeing the devastating aftermath from the nuclear taco challenge in the Sapo Codebits hackathon in Portugal this past year. At Sapo Codebits 2011, altLab displayed its remedy towards the discomfort that accompany eating insanely spicy tacos.

The helmet functions by monitoring sweat and the body warmth to inform when situations are getting a tad too hot because the salsa becomes effective, the absurd meter on the top from the helmet moves from No Sweat to Melt Lower as a mixture of water and yogurt is launched through tubes, a la�the novelty beer headgear of frat legend.

The helmet isn t available, but that doesn t mean you are able to t make and employ your personal, provided you are able to endure the shame of walking to your favorite Mexican restaurant by using it in your mind.
