Image
Raspberry Pi hit another snag in distribution now, though the organization appears positive that deliveries of their lengthy-looked forward to Linux PC will not be significantly affected. The problem centers about 2 companies -- RS Components and element14/Premier Farnell -- which have confirmed they will not distribute the unit until it has been anointed using the CE label. Raspberry Pi had formerly contended that it is PC isn't a "finished finish product," which it, like Beagleboard, could therefore be distributed with no CE mark. Its marketers, however, could not agree. Consequently, they is working to have their computer systems CE-compliant "the moment possible,Inch and therefore are already pretty certain that they'll meet category A, and possibly even category B needs. They are also working carefully using the UK's Department for Business, Innovation and Abilities to higher comprehend the standards that non-CE items like Beagleboard are held. Not sure yet on when RS and Farnell might problem a verdict, however the Raspberry Pi Foundation states it'll tell us the moment they are doing.
