Astro Gaming's firmware update v1.1 for A50 wireless headset fixes 'audio bug,' improves functionality

We generally loved the virtual multichannel audio prowess of Astro Gaming's A50 wireless headset whenever we examined it in This summer, but you'll recall it had one especially glaring problem: the audio would frequently eliminate. At that time, the organization informed us that the fix was in route using a firmware update, and today it's lately showed up having a couple of other treats. To refresh your memory, the A50 headset uses MixAmp TXD wireless transmitter, so you'll really be handling a duo of updates to obtain the body around the straight and narrow: A50 Headset Firmware v1.1 (Build 2856) and A50 MixAmp Texas Firmware v1.1 (Build 2855).

Around the headset side, notable changes include "various audio and volume progressing tweaks," home loan business background noise and improvements towards the noise-gate for voice chat across platforms. Even better, volume and game / voice chat balance levels will stay while you left them upon running it lower. The Texas itself haa been considered the reason behind the audio problem, as Astro notes it's "fixed [the] periodic optical audio drop" -- where "periodic" is putting it nicely. Beyond that, both models should are in possession of better success pairing up, and additional compatibility with KleerNet-enabled wireless products.

We used the firmware refreshes having a couple of periods of MW3 and may happily are convinced that the audio issues do appear to become resolved. Now, setting up the update is straightforward, if a little tiresome. First we needed to connect the headset via USB in to the TXD, which itself connects your pc via USB too. After that, we downloaded and went Astro's Device Manager for OS X and 32 bit Home windows (offered at the origin below), compelling us to set up the updates. Lastly, we re-paired the 2 and were to our virtual fragging sans the audio hiccups -- hopefully you'll have a similar results. Need all of the particulars Go to the origin link below.
