Appears like the honeymoon period with Canon's beastly 5D Mark III is formally over. In the last couple of days some customers have observed that light seeping from the top-mounted LCD can impact exposure readouts, and today the organization has confirmed it's indeed an problem. Basically, the camera's meter may feel a change within the readout whenever the LCD's backlight activates inside a dark situation -- making certain frustration when creating shots. There is no word how wide-spread the issue presently is, but Canon notes it's "analyzing the countermeasures" and intends to circle back once it features a solution. Oddly enough, PetaPixel also reviews that some people have observed the phenomenon when ambient light beams lower around the panel too. This is not the very first time Canon's had an problem having a shooter after its release, but hopefully a fix come in soon. You will find more particulars in the links below, but while you are here, tell us if you have an indication III featuring the signs and symptoms within the comments.
