Well, that may not result in the big screen, but it is certainly reality TV. Meet Robo-guard, the earth's first robot correctional officer. Coded in Columbia, Robo-guard is outfitted with three dimensional cameras that allow it to observe inmates, while special software looks out for alterations in behavior. Should anything suspicious be detected, he'll enhance the alarm. A lone wolf, he works his beat autonomously, but may also be controlled by hand with an iPad, if human co-workers wish to check what's heading down. Initial area tests they are under way at this time, and when all goes well, he'll earn a location in additional prisons. You never know, he might even make deputy eventually.
