Employees at Foxconn's Zhengzhou factory strike responding to new apple iphone 5 quality standards

Workers at Foxconn's Zhengzhou factory strike by the thousands in reaction to new iPhone 5 quality standards, lack of training

Unbox that shiny new apple iphone 5 only to discover it marred with scratches and blemishes Great news: Apple is asking Foxconn to stick to more stringent quality demands because of its flagship phone. Not too very good news: employees in the firm's Zhengzhou factory are striking within the demands. Based on China Labor Watch, three to 4, 000 employees walked from the production line to protest the brand new standards, which only permit b .02mm appearance defect. "It's difficult under such stringent quality needs," creates Sina Weibo user and Foxconn worker Yefudao. "B .02mm appearance defect has already been beyond those of our vision. With your a demanding task, workers' mental pressure becomes so immense that they need to vent it.Inch

China Labor Watch reviews the problem stems not just in the greater quality demands, but the truth that employees are now being requested to satisfy them without finding the training necessary to do this. The problem has not damaged out right into a riot, but a dispute between line employees and qc personnel apparently sparked a battle that brought to damage to property, injuries plus some hospitalization. Production lines have temporarily been frozen by management while Foxconn handles the problem.
