Sony axing Liverpool game studio, ends Psygnosis 28year history

The new sony has confirmed it's shuttering Studio Liverpool, more notoriously referred to as Psygnosis. The writer began back in 1984 and accounts for a legion of best-selling game titles including Lemmings, Colony Wars, Destruction Derby, Wipeout and also the F1 games. Inside a statement, the organization stated that whenever overview of its "in a commercial sense viable" projects, it's concentrating on projects in other areas from the business -- after reducing the studio's remit inside a cost-cutting exercise this year. The ability can also be the position of the company's European Quality Assurance team, that will apparently stay in operation.
