Touch Bionics releases new prosthetic fingers, flip the old ones the bird

The only real upgrades readily available for our puny human hands are gaming controller calluses, but when you are sporting an i-LIMB numbers hands prosthesis, now you can grab some enhanced fingers. Touch Bionics' "more compact, lighter and much more structurally accurate" appendages are actually available worldwide, in addition to a new wrist-band unit which houses all of the necessary computing energy and juice for his or her function. On top of that, these developments allow more and more people to consider the tech compared to previous generation, including individuals with increased petite hands or finger amputations nearer to the knuckle. We do not understand how much it'll cost for any fresh set, but we'll let health agencies and insurance providers cope with that part. With one of these upgrades and RSL Steeper's latest offering, it will not be lengthy before our flesh-based variants are meager in contrast.
