In three experiments, we examined the conjecture that people connection with energy influences their awareness that belongs to them height. High energy, in accordance with low energy, was connected with more compact estimations of the pole s height in accordance with the self (Experiment 1), with bigger estimations of 1 s own height (Experiment 2), with selection of a taller avatar to represent the self inside a second-existence game (Experiment 3). These results emerged no matter whether energy was experientially primed (Experiments one and three) or altered through designated roles (Experiment 2). Although a lot of studies have proven more physically imposing people may acquire energy, the work is the first one to reveal that effective people feel taller compared to what they are. The discussion views the implications for existing and future research around the physical connection with energy.
