Nokia readies major Home windows Phone launch at CES

I have lengthy suspected that Nokia had something large up its sleeve for CES mainly the U.S. version of their Nokia Lumia 800 Home windows Phone that CNET first saw in October. Because of an invite to some CES press conference, Nokia just confirmed it.

OK, OK, you have me. They have formally confirmed nothing, except the truth that you will see something to announce. However, I've some seem good reasons to think that the telephone being introduced at CES will unquestionably be considered a version from the Lumia 800:

  1. At Nokia World earlier this October, the phone-maker displayed the greater-finish Lumia 800 and midrange Lumia 710.
  2. Last week's announcement from the Nokia Lumia 710 for T-Mobile implies that the Lumia 800 may be the only model left up for grabs.

I'll go a measure further and posit that Nokia makes AT&T the company partner for that stateside version from the Lumia 800. The telephone is anticipated to operate on LTE, and also at&T is gradually moving out its 4G LTE marketplaces. Meanwhile, T-Mobile's "4G" operates on its HSPA+ network.

Whether it hardly changes in the European version I locked in my hands a few several weeks back, the U.S. version from the Lumia may have a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, single.4GHz single-core processor, as well as an 8-megapixel camera with support for 720p HD video capture.

The U.S. version is envisioned having a front-facing camera too, similar to the Nokia N9 which the Lumia 800 was patterned.

It will likewise have 16GB of memory without any expansion slot (but 25GB of online for free storage using Microsoft's SkyDrive).

I expect prices to fall under the $150 or $200 range having a two-year service agreement. Nokia may yet surprise us with much more Home windows Phone mobile phone models for that U.S. market, and that i hope it will.

Stay updated, though we will let guess what happens really happens on The month of january ninth! You may also take a look at much more smartphone forecasts from CES 2012.
