Everybody s favourite historic nerd will probably be immortalised on the stamp, using the Royal Mail s British people of Distinction series set to feature Mr Computer systems themself, Alan Turing.
The stamp doesn t show Turing within the flesh, though, choosing rather for any a smaller amount questionable photograph of among the code breaking machines he assisted create, together with his title and also the description Math wizzard and World war 2 code breaker beneath.
The Royal Mail s also delivering some stamps to commemorate the whole shebang of Roald Dahl this month, having a collection honoring the 200th anniversary from the birth of Charles Dickens due later this season. Plus you will see some for that London Olympic games, obviously, that will begin to see the RM print a unique stamp every time a British athlete wins a gold medal. [BBC]
