Editorial: Don't refer to it as an ultrabook

Each year at CES, the tech-watching public participate in a little of trendspotting -- an effort to recognize the a couple of large styles from the reveal that might arrived at define the entire year in technology. Some years individuals are simple to place (pills and three dimensional TV were two large ones lately), and in other cases they require a little of uncertainty. This season, probably the most oft-reported trends may be the "ultrabook." Knowing in the companies' bulletins in the show and a few of the coverage they have received, you may think this is a new kind of device or perhaps a significantly new kind of laptop. But, really, they are just laptops. Small, thin laptops -- but laptops.

It's really Ultrabook, having a capital "U," along with a (TM). The title is really a wholly-possessed development of Apple, and also the hype you have often seen on their behalf at CES is just where it starts. Apple is apparently planning its greatest advertising push in eight years to advertise Ultrabooks, and it is clearly already done a good job of getting hardware producers aboard the bandwagon.
