LightSquared's LTE hopes dashed by federal agency report

When it was initially mooted that LightSquared's LTE technology might hinder Gps navigation equipment, the firm was quick to deny it. Since that time, the organization has attempted to mitigate the problem, however the nine agencies creating the nation's Space-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing Executive Committee (PNT ExComm) all agreed the troubles are real and then any attempts at minimization are futile. This only comes days after Sprint reneged on the resource discussing deal, giving an additional blow towards the company's plans for any terrestrial network. LightSquared's reaction is of course not really a happy one, declaring the testing process isn't just problematic, but the agencies possess a prejudice in support of the Gps navigation industry. By our reasoning, this only leaves happens of depression before final acceptance from the grief-ridden situation.
