Way in older days before mobile phones were in nearly every pocket, Microsoft and Piece of fabric teamed on an item known as the Place watch. These Place tech appeared in 2004 and used FM signals to obtain particulars like sports scores, weather along with other stuff directly on the timepiece face.
Timepieces were stopped in 2008 but Microsoft vowed to help keep the service opting for individuals that bought. Now was the finish from the road for that Place service and also the servers were switched off. Thinking about the proliferation of mobile phones today, I doubt lots of people observed.
Timepieces were large and ugly, that was a primary reason they didn t sell well to start with. Have you have one of these simple watches I examined one sometime ago and located it pretty lame if this was new.
