Bay Area (AP) A jury has began deliberations inside a carefully viewed copyright violation trial pitting Oracle against Google.
The government situation in Bay Area focuses on Oracle's accusations that Google's popular Android software for mobile products depends on technology stolen from Java. This is a programming platform that Oracle Corp. acquired this year included in its $7.3 billion purchase of Sun Microsystems.
Google Corporation. states it came upon small areas of Java that are not protected by copyright and typically happen to be freely open to all developers.
The situation was surrended towards the 12-person jury Monday mid-day after two days of testimony and arguments. Oracle is looking to get 100s of vast amounts of dollars in damages.
Following a verdict on copyright violation is arrived at, the parties will address accusations of patent violation.
