
Germany is infamously privacy-minded, and services like Facebook's Friend Finder and Google's Street View came under scrutiny within the country's courts. The most recent offender to boost Germany's ire is Bing Streetside, a Street View-style photo service. Microsoft required the feature offline in the united states following complaints about how exactly Streetside shows private houses. Automatically, houses are visible, though Microsoft covers the pictures if customers submit a complaint. Still, people were apparently unhappy with this particular process, which motivated the organization to axe the service although it addresses individuals privacy concerns. Almost always there is Street View if you want your fix of blurred-out Berlin structures meanwhile.
