The new sony is applying its latest product announcement to trim the body fat from its line-up, and among the casualties is going to be its multimedia-centric VAIO F Series. Obviously, the organization will not be ditching entertainment laptops altogether -- it is simply bringing together the VAIO F line in to the VAIO S Series, particularly the VAIO S 15. To help confuse the switch-up, the VAIO SE (that's E for entertainment) may also be folded in to the new S 15. Identity confusion aside, what you'll get this is a 15.5-inch, 1080p Insolvency practitioners display, NVIDIA graphics with as many as 2GB of VRAM as well as other Ivy Bridge processor options (up to and including quad-core Core i7 CPU). The 15-inch S Series will begin at $1,000 and will also be obtainable in black and silver. The new sony states it is good for light gaming, and particularly media streaming and programs like AutoCAD. Such as the other new VAIO systems, the S 15 is going to be available this month. Browse the gallery and press info below.
