Redmond's approaching Surface slate is loaded with potential -- but Microsoft sees that building its very own tablet includes some natural risks. Within the firm's lately posted annual report, Microsoft informs the safety and Exchange Commission the new group of slates could release ties with a few of their partners. "Our surface products will contend with items produced by our OEM partners," the report reads, "which might affect their resolve for our platform." This, obviously, echos Acer's sentiment, which accused Microsoft of failing to remember laptop computer contractors that assisted it become what it's today. On the other hand, maybe Acer only agreed to be preemptively upset it can't get selected for Home windows 8's beginning line-up.
