WSJ: Apple, Google apparently in rival groups to purchase Kodak patents

Kodachrome 200 film box

Kodak may be removed to market its patents, but it is likely no fan from the companies arranged to create a deal. The Wall Street Journal's close friends, "people acquainted with the problem,Inch assert that Apple and Google are members of separate coalitions wishing to purchase the 1,100 patents available. Apple's camping allegedly includes Microsoft and questionable patent holder Intellectual Endeavors Google's team reads a lot more like an Android Justice League Of America, with HTC, LG, Samsung and "patent risk solutions" provider RPX all playing a component. Real or otherwise, there's still much that's up in mid-air. Kodak's not speaking, as well as the recommended associates warn each of new competitors and allegiances that may be in flux within the next couple of days. Should there be meat about this rumor bone, however, it might result in the August eighth auction another patent war spectacle as opposed to a mere ticket to solvency for Kodak. Bust out the popcorn.
