Hacking group AntiSec (linked to Anonymous and LulzSec) made some bold claims Tuesday it had acquired the initial device identifiers (UDIDs) of 12 million iOS products from an FBI laptop, setting greater than a couple of people on edge. The FBI has refused that anything was stolen, but Apple went a step further to reason that it didn't have participation. Speaker Natalie Kerris informs AllThingsD that Apple has not given UDIDs towards the FBI "or any businessInch -- recommending that either AntiSec or even the FBI is not telling the entire story of the items data emerged where. Even when you will find real UDIDs going swimming, Kerris adds they don't always pose much danger. She notes that programming hooks in iOS 6 will give you an alternative choice to UDID for device-specific data, which applications will ultimately be forbidden by using the older identifiers altogether.
