Dice Holdings buys Slashdot and SourceForge

Dice Holdings, the unimaginatively named who owns technology jobs site Dice.com has bought Geeknet's media business for any awesome $20 million. The offer hands over control around the globe-famous Slashdot, Freecode and SourceForge towards the careers company, starting the careers site's push into tech content. It leaves Geeknet with one remaining property, ThinkGeek, that will certainly be getting all that company's attention -- hopefully to create items which are much more lust inducing than Cave Johnson's portrait.
