While you would be pardoned because of not knowing who John Rogers is, he's certainly adorned these pages more often than once. He's the study chief in the College of Illinois that's formerly damaged new ground in the realm of invisibility cloaks and wearable technology. This time around, his team has cooked up a plastic, magnesium, magnesium oxide and silk circuit that's made to dissolve in your body in the same manner that absorbable sutures are utilized in minor surgical procedures. It's believed that the tech may ultimately be employed to implant monitors that will never need removal, reducing invasive medical methods, or perhaps build products that eventually become compost instead of E-waste -- although we are unsure we'd appreciate our smartphone doing exactly the same factor when we are making calls while it is raining.
