
Some Amazon Kindle Fire customers are worrying of Wi-Fi and Access to the internet issues.
(Credit: Amazon . com)Just three days following the debut from the Amazon Kindle Fire, some customers are worrying of problems being able to access Wi-Fi systems and also the Internet.
Noted by tech enthusiast site Electronista, some Fire table proprietors say they cannot connect with their Wi-Fi systems, while some say they are able to connect with their hubs but can't access the web.
One of the 175 posts regarding the subject in Amazon's own Kindle forum several frustrated customers referred to the issue.
One published that "my Amazon Kindle Fire isn't hooking up to my network either. It recognizes my router but when I go into the security key it tries to connect and fails. Another stated: "Have just opened up Amazon Kindle Fire. Can connect with wi-fi compatability but no internet. Other wireless products home based will work fine hooking up to internet."
One individual stated he spoken with Amazon's customer care, who told him it had been a "known problem" and something that might be resolved inside a couple of hrs. The support repetition apparently guaranteed to e-mail or call back but unsuccessful to follow-up. Along with a couple of hrs later, Internet connectivity was still being lower.
On an optimistic note, many forum posters were apparently in a position to fix the glitch by setting up the most recent software update for that Fire. Initially version 6.1 and today 6.2, the update will not make any specific mention of the Wi-Fi bug fixes. But several customers who installed the 6.1 update via usb port spot and restarted their hubs were then capable of getting online. However, other people who installed 6.1 stated their Wi-Fi or Access to the internet was still being lower.
Amazon Kindle Fire customers who keep having trouble hooking up after setting up version 6.1 might want to try the brand new 6.2 update since Amazon . com does describe this latest software upgrade as supplying "enhancements to the whole process of your Amazon Kindle Fire.Inch
Electronista reported that "Amazon . com has yet to openly acknowledge issues with Wi-Fi connectivity." The store didn't immediately return CNET's request comment.
