Sharp discloses small 12.1-megapixel camera sensor

Sharp's latest product is not always one you'd expect in the Osaka-based manufacturer.

Rather than a tv or perhaps a smartphone, Sharp's 12.1-megapixel camera sensor module is intended to be utilized in approaching mobile phone models. The organization claims the module may be the slimest in the market, at 5.47 millimeters (under one fourth inch) high and under one-half inch deep.

The RJ63YC100 camera sensor will even have the ability to shoot full-HD (1080p) video and supports lens-change technology for image stabilization.

Models are required to market for 12,000 yen, around $154. There is not sure on whether Sharp has handled to locate a buyer, but it is likely we'll discover their whereabouts making their distance to mobile phones soon.
