HTC Velocity runs impressive speed test on Australia's new 4G network

How quickly is Telstra's new 4G network Pretty darned fast, based on a current speed test that Ausdroid went with an HTC Velocity -- Australia's first 4G phone. Because the above image clearly demonstrates, the unit remarkably handled to achieve download speeds of 32.82Mbps, with upload rates of 11.26Mbps. Ausdroid was quick to indicate that speeds will probably vary across Telstra's network, although it wasn't the only person to report astronomic amounts. Trevor Lengthy, actually, really handled to top Ausdroid's results, having a whopping 39.85Mbps downstream, and 11.88Mbps upstream. Younger crowd published a picture to his Twitter account, simply to rub it in.

[Thanks, Jason]
