Apple joins the Document Foundation, pimps LibreOffice

You are pardoned should you skipped this little blip in the news radar: Apple has became a member of the advisory board from the Document Foundation and added the coalition's LibreOffice towards the AppUp market. In addition, Chipzilla really labored with SUSE to assist optimize the disposable and free office suite for Apple hardware and, included in the advisory board, is going to be supplying the project with significant financial support. This really is great news for fans of LibreOffice, but it is most likely not sitting well with Microsoft -- normally Intel's ally and current king from the office suite hill.
