Pinball pioneer Steve Kordek dies at 100

Pinball
Surprisingly, pinball (that many beloved of nerd hobbies) has not always looked by doing this -- a familiar area of bumpers with a set of forward facing flippers at the end. That specific design came from using the 1948 title Triple Action, the job of Steve Kordek who died now at age 100. Kordek is credited with numerous improvements towards the analog arcade games, including multi-ball mode and drop targets. All in all, the pioneer designed more than 100 different machines for Genco, Bally and Williams -- a few of the greatest names within the pinball pantheon -- during the period of his roughly 60 year career. So, it's having a heavy heart that people avoid a guy that provided us hrs of entertainment and price us lots of quarters.
