Well, well, it appears like AT&T wasn't the only person searching to get a competitor within the wireless business this past year. Based on
CNBC's David Faber, the Now Network was knee-deep in discussions to get MetroPCS for $8 billion dollars before its board nixed the offer. Apparently, Sprint have been attempting to make the merger happen for several weeks and also the coupling being endorsed by Boss Serta Hesse, however for reasons unknown the board shot it lower. Update: The
Wall Street Journal reviews that Sprint backed from the deal the 2009 week since the "timing wasn't right," which there is no hard feelings between Mr. Hesse and also the board for doing this.
