The Distro Interview: Microsoft Principal Researcher Bill Buxton

Bill Buxton has spent the majority of his career getting between humans and computer systems. While his initial focus was on music and digital instruments, that eventually brought to a desire for human-computer interaction, and pioneering use multitouch systems along with other user connects. He labored using the famous hotbed of innovation Xerox PARC within the late eighties and early 90s, and was later Chief Researcher for software firm Alias Wavefront before declaring exactly the same title at SGI Corporation. when that company acquired the previous in 1995. Following a time running their own Toronto-based design and talking to firm, he moved onto Microsoft Research in 2005, where he is constantly on the function as the organization's Principal Investigator.
