Samsung reportedly axes Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 production to add quad-core CPU

This really is, well, strange. The fine folks at Netbooknews are confirming that Samsung is finished production around the GT P5100 -- better referred to as Universe Tab 2 10.1. The storyline comes thanks to an un named "Korean Samsung insider" who claims the unit gets upgraded to some quad-core CPU. If the nick under consideration may be the much famous 32nm Exynos 4412, which packs not just four Cortex A9 cores, but four Mali 604 GPU cores too, is unknown. It is also not obvious how this will affect US launch plans. Gossips would be the Universe Note 10.1 will be receiving an identical brain transplant before striking the marketplace. Sadly, all we are able to do at this time hold our breath and desire real hard that both will hit shelves at some point with an additional set of cores with you. Sammy better obtain a move ahead too whether it's gonna need to give The Government another crack only at that slate.
