Should you regularly snap pages of hardcopy text in your smartphone for perusing later, then an Android application being produced by Fujifilm might just tick your literary boxes. Known as GT-Layout, it instantly carves up a photograph that contains text to ensure that each character turns into a separate image. These sub-images may then be reformatted with line breaks to suit your screen area and preferred degree of zoom -- so it's not necessary to pinch and pan a lot and you shouldn't have for OCR. Would like to try it Then you will need to wait. GT-Layout is apparently arriving an update to Fujifilm's Dropbox client, GT-Document Lite, there is however no manifestation of it showing up there at this time.
