Leap Motion taps former Apple iAd Vice president Andy Burns to become Leader and COO

Leap Motion taps former Apple iAd VP Andy Miller to be President and CEOApple's former iAd Vice president (and Quattro co-founder) Andy Burns only required employment like a general partner at Highland Capital this past year after departing the gang in Cupertino, but he's now already moving onto another fairly much talked about gig. Leap Motion has introduced today that Burns will end up its new Leader and Boss COO, placing him inside a central role in a company that's facing the rather struggle of really delivering the products after delighting most everybody using its new gesture control technology. As Fortune notes, however, the move does not come like a complete surprise. Highland Capital is backing Leap, and Burns themself has apparently been investing about 80 % of his time on the organization in the last couple of several weeks. Inside a statement, Burns stated that he's "been fortunate to utilize probably the most influential figures and firms within the technology industry, and I am as looking forward to the Leap as I have have you been in regards to a technology," adding the "possibility of the Leap is unlimited, as it will essentially change the way you interact because of so many products within our lives."

Update: Leap Motion has arrived at out and informed us that Burns is going to be Leader and COO, confirming to current Boss and co-founder Michael Buckwald. The state pr release are available following the break.
