PrimeSense, the Israeli company whose three dimensional sensors assisted result in the Kinect this type of massive hit for players and cyber-terrorist alike, continues to be sinking its ft within the robot waters a little lately. The organization offered up its sensors to be used in iRobot's telecommunication 'bot, Ava, and today they have made their distance to SAMI, a robot platform produced by France's CRIIF. PrimeSense sensors are based in the robot's torso (for discovering people) and base (to assist it avoid thumping into objects).
