Air Current: Maxell Japan Announces Wireless Charger For iPad 2

Hitachi Maxell, in cooperation with Murata, has introduced [JP] the so-known as Air Current for that Japanese market today, a mix of a radio charging pad (named Energy Stand ) and jacket ( Energy Cover ) particularly to be used using the apple ipad 2. Based on Maxell, the unit may be the first available (mass-created).

The actual way it works is the fact that customers take their apple ipad 2 in to the jacket, put it around the pad and allow the Air Current system charge named no cables needed. Maxell states the wireless energy transmission of 10W takes about 3 hrs for any full charge, as lengthy as charging the iPad the traditional way (AC adapter).

Proprietors are able to place the apple ipad 2 around the pad/stand either flat or up and down and while using tablet although it s being billed, too.

Maxell intends to start selling the environment Current in Japan on November 25 for $196. Murata, the producer from the wireless energy transmission module that's included in the environment Current, provides an in depth web site that describes the merchandise in British (here s a relevant video).
