Tetsuya Yamamoto, Nikon's mind of development was at CES speaking in the future plans from the company's 1 system cameras after strong holiday sales. The Ten.1 megapixel sensor within the 1 is sufficiently able to shooting 2 and 4K video and getting that functionality into readily stored away planned for any future edition. There's an excuse for some better contacts with faster auto-focusing, although we are unsure just how much bigger you will get on that petite body. It is also kicking around a choice of letting V1 (i.e. more professional) customers reach manual AF control as well as in-camera RAW editing -- while J1 customers can get lots of features they will not use much, as with-camera effects. It's exciting stuff, but let us hope these additional features don't make the cost to climb any greater, right
