Google: Chrome OS Just For Notebook computers Right Now

Although we lately heard talk about a touch screen-based test platform known as Seaboard running Chrome OS, Google isn t in a rush to acknowledge that it is browser OS is visiting pills. I'm able to t blame them, either with Android amounts growing and Chrome OS misguided, it d be foolish to dilute the marketplace having a second tablet ecosystem. So that they re formally restricting it to Chromebooks for the time being.

Speaking at Computex in Taipei, Google s Sundar Pichai stated:

Chrome OS is really a computer model fashioned with various form factors in your mind, but we're entirely centered on the notebook form factor for the time being. We now have not one other plans at this time around.

The touch screen testbed appears to contradict that statement, but in a large company like Google they re certainly thinking and testing several weeks and years in advance, so not one other plans really means plans could change.

After they unveil Chrome OS in serious, though, I believe we ll see an understandable divide between it and Android. It ll require sometime and both items still evolve, though, so let s just wait and find out.
