Today is James Randi s birthday, so happy birthday, O Amazing One!
This is tough to think that I ve known that guy for more than 8 years. After I authored my first book, my editor stated we needed blurbs for that cover (the "This book healed my hpv warts!" type of factor), and that we can use somebody that would be a large skeptic. Naturally I figured of Randi. I sent him an email, he agreed happily, and sent an excellent quote that immediately continued the rear cover from the book. Soon after he asked me to speak at the beginning Amaz!ng Meeting, and also the relaxation is, as the saying goes, history.
Randi is formidable, so that as Carl Sagan stated, "We might not necessarily accept Randi, but we ignore him at our peril." Sagan would be a pretty wise guy.
Randi s quite a wise guy too, and does lots of great for the planet. Now, I m not to imply he s 900 years of age and smart, however the resemblance to Yoda can often be uncanny
