Photos taken by NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter throughout the planet's spring, summer time and winter months in 2006 reveal dark streaks that might be water flowing downhill. The present hypothesis would be that the streaks represent brine, which wouldn't freeze about the icy planet.
But confirmation of flowing water is really a lengthy ways off. Regrettably, no rover is going to be going to the region in which the streaks were recognized in the near future. For the time being, we'll have to wait, or possibly prepare to maneuver to Mars and take a look to live in.
