London Design Festival: Outside Structures Kick it Off

The Timber Wave by Amanda Levente of AL_A graces the leading entrance from the museum. It's a 3-D lattice spiral that is three tales high. It's constructed of specifically created bits of American red-colored oak. Digital tools and three dimensional modelling show the hyperlink that may be made between furniture-making techniques and enormous structures. Levente may be the architect of preference this month: she won the commission to complete the extension towards the museum and her pylon design is incorporated in the final short-listing of six.

Inside, within the beautiful Raphael Court, an area which houses 7 works of art through the italian painter, Ronan &lifier Erwan Bouroullec have installed an enormous Textile Area. Trying out over 240 sq. metres, it consists of soft fabric in stripes which get the shades from the pictures. It is a large relaxing, oops meditative, area.

To not be surpassed, natural History Museum has installed Osmosis, 3 geometric structures by Arik Levy. A lot more than 6 ft tall, in whitened, gray and red-colored, they signify the regrowth of ourselves and character.

No survey of outdoors design can disregard the adorable LEGO Green house, allegedly the earth's first green house constructed individuals-know-what. It is made of 100,000 LEGO bricks: walls, flooring as well as our planet inside is constructed of LEGO. Sunflowers and hydrangeas are growing inside... You will find gaps between your bricks to allow in air and there's an irrigation system.
