Yesterday, CNET broke the storyline that Apple lost another apple iphone prototype. Juicy! Regrettably, the CNET article produced more questions than solutions.
Based on CNET's source, Apple did not file a police report once the apple iphone went missing. That put up a couple of sensors later within the article, CNET claims the Bay Area Police Department supported Apple security to some suspect's house to find the missing apple iphone prototype.
CNET reviews the apple iphone prototype remained at Cava 22 between late This summer. A "few days later," Apple approached the SFPD concerning the missing device. The content does not specify just how much longer it required for that apple iphone to become monitored to the house of a Bernal Heights' resident, who had been then visited through the SFPD and Apple Security personnel. The guy allegedly informed law enforcement and Apple employees he was at Cava 22 about the evening under consideration, but understood nothing from the missing apple iphone. Despite on offer money "no questions requested" by an Apple worker, the guy ongoing to inform police he'd no understanding from the apple iphone or its location. Next, you never know what went down towards the apple iphone. CNET speculates it "might have been offered" on Craig's list for $200 but offers no evidence to back claiming up.
A preliminary call towards the SFPD yesterday ended together requesting a contact detailing all of our questions regarding the analysis. Apparently, nobody in media department had any understanding from the missing apple iphone or even the analysis around it. By this writing, they haven't responded towards the email.
To another call towards the SFPD's media relations department today, I spoke with Officer Albie Esparza, who had spoken to Apple earlier today concerning the incident. He asked for a study number to ensure that he could inform the media that which was happening within the analysis. But based on Officer Esparza, there's "no record" of the lost apple iphone. Nothing.
I e-mailed Craig's list asking to determine their cached posts from late This summer. The media contact informed us that when a publish is from the site, it's gone forever. And So I requested any confirmation that they are approached by Apple or even the SFPD concerning the missing apple iphone prototype. Craig's list has not responded to the inquiry.
I known as and e-mailed Apple to request concerning the incident. They haven't become to me. Obviously, I do not expect them to return to me. But at this time, besides CNET's source, it appears like Apple may be the only organization argument exactly what are you doing. Which leaves us with increased questions than solutions.
- Would the SFPD help Apple investigate military services weapons device without getting an incident report
- When the SFPD understood these were dealing with Apple, wouldn't they've been prepared to speak with the press concerning the incident
- Why would CNET's source provide them with this type of vague selection of dates This impedes any kind of independent confirmation.
- When the phone was lost in This summer, how come we simply now listening to it What's happened during the last month
- Where's this mystery apple iphone prototype It had been apparently offered on Craig's list for $200.
- Whether it's still functioning, has Apple already monitored it lower again and retrieved it
Are you aware what went down We'd like to know what you think.
