HBO's PunchForce hits the FCC, turns fists into data... violent, violent data

PunchForce
Cinemax continues to be silently focusing on its PunchForce tech since about 2010, if this attempted to convince British star Amir Khan and Argentine boxer Marcos Maidana to put on the sensors for his or her light welterweight title bout. Neither appeared particularly eager. Now though, more than a year later, the most recent in fist-monitoring technology appears to become approaching its large debut. Small wireless monitors, worn underneath the wrist from the mitts feed velocity and impact data to a laptop having a special receiver -- which are in possession of Uncle Sam's approval. The actual fun though, is exactly what happens next. The data collected is not intended to be locked away in lab, it will be broadcast to audiences through the fight and, eventually, given to associated applications, most probably alongside its PunchZone stats. Browse the gallery below for any behind the curtain peek at PunchForce and go to the origin connect to peruse the entire instructions.
