Google mobile web update brings hidden sidebar, feels very familiar

Google mobile web revamp brings hidden sidebar, feels all too familiar

Google+ has it. Facebook has it. Even Spotify and Evernote get it. "It" may be the hidden sidebar, which subtle if over-repeated interface has spread to Google's rv page. Visit from an iOS or Android tool and the front-end will resemble the desktop web version, however with a sidebar that exposes Google's services inside a more elegant way compared to top bar we have needed to use before. The redesign is not showing for everybody by this writing, so you shouldn't be disappointed if Google's new drive towards interface consistency is not available yet. Just realize that there's one less refuge in the coolest input metaphor of 2012.
