Firefox introduces preliminary support for Social API, brings your networks into the browser

Even if you use Opera to gain access to your social networking of preference already, preliminary support for any new API continues to be introduced that may integrate key features in to the browser itself. The appropriately named Social API, allows designers to embed services in to the browser directly, allowing you to communicate with buddies and remain up-to-date without needing to open new home windows, or keep hopping into different tabs. There is no solid info at this time how this can manifest itself, or how issues for example security and privacy may be addressed, however with testing beginning soon, we are expecting the curtain to lift around the finer particulars soon. Interested designers can mind towards the source, for that other billion, you'll have to wait.
